The Germans at Audi officially confirmed that the open-top version of the Audi A3 will debut next week at Frankfurt.
Unfortunately, they decided to not offer any further details but we already have some information regarding the new model. To be more specific, we know that it will come with a series of performance improvements.
To be more specific, you should expect new engines to be offered alongside the well-known 1.4-liter and 1.8-liter petrol units from the standard model.
The diesel range will include 2.0-liter powerplants with outputs from 150hp to 184hp. Audi also confirmed that the new A3 Cabriolet will feature high-performance assistance systems which is another reason to keep an eye on the German convertible for its debut at Frankfurt.
Usually, the detachable roof is the main difference between sedan and convertible models but this time, it seems that Audi will impress with new innovations.
