Cadillac decided to shorten up the wait and reveal the 2016 CTS-V, their high-performance sedan which will go on sale next summer. Before it goes on sale, it will be seen at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, an event which begins in January.
When we have mentioned high-performance, we were not kidding as the new Cadillac CTS-V sports a 6.2-liter V8 engine producing no less than 640 horsepower and 855 Nm of torque.
With such resources and a sophisticated eight-speed automatic transmission, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in only 3,7 seconds with a top speed of 322 km/h.
Exterior styling includes revised bumpers, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, a ventilated carbon fiber hood, new side skirts and a rear spoiler. A plus of style is added by the wide fenders as well as the quad-pipe exhaust and the mesh grille.
Inside, you will find sport seats with leather accents, matte carbon fiber trim, a nice Bose audio system and a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
