Ford released official consumption numbers for the new Fiesta ST, the sportier variant of the American hatchback. Packing a 1.6-liter EcoBoost unit producing 197 horsepower and 290Nm of torque, the new Fiesta ST returns fuel economy figures of 26mpg (city) and 35mpg (highway).
These figures have not been confirmed by EPA but at least, we get a quite accurate idea of how frugal is the new model.
Compared to the stock model, the ST version comes with a new suspension lowering the ground clearance by 15mm, improved dampers and springs, new front and rear bumpers, a revised front grille and rear diffuser.
Inside, buyers will benefit from bucket seats, leather upholstery, a sport steering wheel and other similar features.
Pricing for the 2014 Ford Fiesta ST starts at $22,195 but it can go all the way up to $25,360 if you want to get all the top-of-the-range equipment.
