Since Jaguar is in the mist of celebrating 75 years of existence as a brand (the actual company was founded about 13 years earlier) and as a treat for Australians they are launching a special edition of the XF.
The special edition Aussie XF wil be, rather obvious, powered by a V8 engine.
The Anniversary edition Jaguar XF will be riding on 20 inch ‘Senta’ alloy wheels, exhaust tail pipe finishers, a Portable Audio Interface and a special “75 Years” badge on the center console. Other standard features include 8 way electric seats, keyless start, automatic climate control and cruise control.
Moving past the small interior and cosmetic changes we find that the actual 5.0 liter V8 engine remains pretty much unchanged. That said, it’s still a fruitcake of an engineering achievement. The naturally-aspirated 5 liter AJ-V8 Gen III engine with 380 horsepower on tap and a momentous 380 lbs-ft of torque is capable of taking the premium sedan from 0 to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
The special edition Jag is set to arrive in dealerships in the fourth quarter of the year with a starting price of AUS$128,900 which is roughly US$111,500.
