Revealed earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show, the three-door version of the new Kia Picanto enters the British market this fall with prices starting from £7,795. The South Korean people from Kia decided to reveal the official specs and pricing for the new Picanto, a model which will go on sale on September 1st in the UK.
The engine range of the new three-door Picanto in the UK includes two gasoline units. We talk about a 1.0-liter unit developing 68 horsepower and 95 Nm of torque while a more powerful 1.25-liter four-cylinder engine developing 84 horses and 121 Nm of torque is available as well.
The latter returns a combined fuel economy (with Start/Stop system) of 65,7mpg UK while equipping the model with a four-speed automatic transmission you get 53,3mpg UK.
The entry-level model is offered with two trim levels called “1” and “1 Air”. This means that you get standard features such as a CD player with MP3, air conditioning, adjustable driver seat and steering column, electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution and anti-lock brakes.
The 1.25-liter unit comes with the “Halo” and “Equinox” trim levels which bring in addition features such as 14-inch alloy wheels, heated steering wheel and front seats, alloy pedals and reverse parking sensors.
