McLaren unveiled today the new P1 supercar, a model which will be seen for the first time at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
The new McLaren P1 will be built in a limited number of 375 units even though, at the beginning, they were planning to produce 500 vehicles.
Under the hood sits a hybrid powertrain which includes a 3.8-liter V8 engine producing 737 horsepower and an electric motor with 179 horses.
This makes for a combined output of 916 horsepower and 900Nm of torque, enough to provide a 0-100 km/h sprint in less than 3 seconds thanks to the Instant Power Assist System. All this massive power is handled by a high-performance seven-speed Graziano gearbox.
The new McLaren P1 is also very lightweight thanks to its carbon fiber chassis for a total of 1,400 kilograms. Regarding the interior and exterior design, you can make an idea by looking at the official shots above.
The British carmaker prices the new P1 at £866,000 which is around $1,150,000 in the States.
