The Germans at Mercedes released details and photos on the new B-Class facelift, a model slated to debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, an event which debuts this fall. At the exterior, buyers will get revised bumpers, LED High Performance headlamps, an improved front grille and revised optical blocks.
The rear end stands out thanks to the bi-color taillights with LEDs, a trapezoidal exhaust system and the aforementioned tweaked bumper. Under the hood you will find a total of four petrol engines, starting off with a 1.6-liter 122hp model in the B 180 version. The Mercedes B 200 comes with the same unit but with an output of 156 horses.
Go with the B 220 4MATIC and you will get a 2.0-liter unit producing 184 horses while a more powerful version of the same engine, delivering 211 horses, will be found in the B 250 version. If you want a diesel engine, there’s a 1.5-liter 90hp unit in the B 160 CDI while the B 180 CDI gets a 109hp unit.
Last but not least, there’s a B 200 CDI model with a 2.1-liter delivering 136 horses and a more powerful 177hp version in the B 220 CDI. If you want a zero-emission model, go with the Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive which uses an electric motor delivering 180 horses and 340 Nm of torque.
Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7,9 seconds while the top speed is limited at 160 km/h. Mercedes promises a driving range of up to 137 km while a full charge takes about three and a half hours.
Pricing on the 2015 Mercedes B-Class starts from €27,102 in Germany with the new model to arrive in dealerships late November.
