Specialists at Euro NCAP released information on the Mercedes Citan crash tests but sadly, the German company hasn’t got to many reasons to celebrate.
To be more specific, the new Citan van scored three stars of five, not very impressive mainly considering that we talk about a Mercedes-Benz car, even if it is a van.
The new Mercedes Citan comes with all the safety features such as ESC, ABD, ABS and so on but the pedestrian protection seemed to be the main problem.
Due to the front end, mainly the bumper and hood, pedestrians are not very well protected in case of an accident. Inside, there is a risk of head injuries for the front passengers due to the hard components used for the dashboard.
Last but not least, Euro NCAP says that the car’s airbags are not able to provide maximum protection in case of a crash.
