Mercedes released new photos and details on the 2013 Mercedes SLS AMG GT, a model recently revealed in Germany.
Before we tell you how faster the model was compared to the 2012 year model, we will remind you the main features of the car. In terms of power, a 6.3-liter V8 provides 583hp at 6,800rpm and 650Nm of torque at 4,750rpm.
Comparing to the previous model, the 2013 SLS AMG GT got a power boost of 20hp which improved the 0-100 km/h sprint by 0,1 seconds to 3,7 seconds while the top speed reaches 317 km/h.
The new model is available, as usual, in two forms: Coupe and Convertible. The 2013 Mercedes SLS AMG GT Coupe lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in less than 7:30″, an improvement of about 5 seconds.
Besides the extra resources, the new German model sports a revised variant of the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed transmission. An improved ride is also provided by the AMG Ride Control system provided by the company.
If you want to benefit from all these features and you feel confident enough on your wallet, expect the new model in Europe and U.S. by the end of this year.
