Skoda gets yet again in our attention with a new official reveal, namely the Rapid Spaceback, the more spacious version of the Czech sedan. After the last weeks we saw the new Skoda Superb and Octavia RS, now we meet the newest member of the Spaceback family.
The new model is slightly shorter but is capable to offer a total rear legroom of 64mm and a luggage space ranging from 415 liters to 1,380 liters with the seats down.
At the exterior, the new Rapid Spaceback gets a roof-mounted spoiler, tinted windows, a panoramic glass roof and revised rear doors. Power will be offered by a total of six engines, starting from a base 74hp unit to a range-topping 121hp.
The most frugal one is a 1.6-liter TDI with 89 horses and a fuel economy of 3,8 liters/100km. CO2 emissions are just below 100 g/km, very good figures achieved also thanks to the GreenLine technologies offered by Skoda on this specific version.
The new model is slated to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, following to go on sale in October.
