Volkswagen extends its R-Line range in the United States with the Beetle Convertible, the sixth model which receives this package in the States.
As expected, there are few styling improvements while under the hood we find a 2.0-liter turbocharged TSI gasoline producing 200 horsepower.
At the exterior, the German model gets new R-Line badges, LED daytime running lights, 19-inch alloy wheels and new low profile tires.
Inside, there is a new Fender Premium audio system with 8 speakers, aluminum pedals, leather upholstery, a flat-bottom steering wheel and more.
“Augmenting the Beetle Convertible Turbo’s impressive list of standard equipment, the Beetle Convertible R-Line adds performance-inspired exterior and interior treatments,” says VW.
The new model has been revealed at this year’s edition of the Chicago Auto Show, further details including pricing and availability info following to be released soon.
