Nissan took the wraps off the Juke Nismo at the Chicago Auto Show, a sportier version of the well-known Japanese crossover. The 2013 Nissan Juke Nismo is motivated by a 1.6-liter engine capable to produce 197hp and 249Nm of torque.
It comes with a standard six-speed manual transmission but it can be fitted with an Xtronic CVT if you opt for the all-wheel drive model.
The manual model is able to return fuel economy figures of 27mpg (city) and 32mpg (highway), numbers which are slightly better compared to the AWD version.
In terms of styling, the new Juke Nismo benefits from LED daytime running lights, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, extended wheel arches, new bumpers and door mirrors.
The Japanese crossover also sits closer to the ground thanks to a lowered suspension system which also improved downforce. Pricing and availability details on the new model in the U.S. are still not disclosed.
