While the more renowned tuners deal in powerful, luxurious and imposing cars, from time to time, it is a nice break to see a fun project rolling out a workshop.
Nissan’s Nismo division chose the Nissan Leaf electric vehicle to improve, and the result is worthy of some attention.
They designed an aerodynamic kit with new bumpers, side skirts and spoiler extension. The price for the body kit is 5.500 or 7.700 USD (depending or material), and it is made available in both carbon fiber and fiberglass. To this kit you can also add carbon fiber mirror casings, carbon fiber pillar trim and 18 inch LMX6 aluminium wheels.
Nismo also fiddled with performance a bit, adding a sport suspension system with new springs and dampers, improving handling and lowering the ride by 30 mm. For an additional 1.400 USD, Nismo will also throw in the Sports Reset package, which is expected to deliver better driving characteristics.
So far, the upgrade looks quite good, and with more details to come, it might become a must-have for any Nissan Leaf owners.
