Nissan decided to unveil a special Patrol SUV at an event held in Dubai. The model in question is a bespoke car developed by NISMO, the high-performance division of the Japanese carmaker.
At the exterior, the tweaked model clearly stands out through the large 22-inch RAYS forged alloy wheels. Revised bumpers, side skirts and rear diffuser are also available and provide a bulkier look.
The real improvement can be seen under the hood where we find a big 5.6-liter V8 enigne producing 428 horsepower and over 560 Nm of torque. Other mechanical changes include new Bilstein shock absorbers part of the retuned suspension, an improved steering system and other minor tweaks.
Enter the cabin and you will find the same red inserts we find outside, new upholstery and a slightly revised instrument panel. The new Nissan Patrol Nismo is currently available for order with pricing details yet to be released.
We do know that customers from countries like the United Arab Emirates are interested in this kind of models so Nissan had a good strategy of introducing this model in Dubai rather than United States or Europe. It remains to be seen if this is going to pay off in the long run.
