Nissan has built one of the best cars from the entire sports segment, and the GT-R Nismo is with no doubt the fastest road-legal model.
But the Japanese carmaker has also launched, in a limited edition, the R34 GT-R Nismo Z-Tune, starting with 2003. Only a handful of 19 units have left the production line, each one costing a whopping $510,000. One particular model ended up in Hong Kong, thanks to Contempo Concept HK Motors.
What makes a Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo Z-Tune really impressive, is the powerful 2.8-liter flat-six engine, fully tweaked with IHI turbochargers, forged pistons, intake plenum, stroked crankshaft, forged fillet-rolled camshafts and custom exhaust manifold.
All the power upgrades make the engine churn out a whopping 500 horsepower, at 9,000 rpm. With the all-wheel drive configuration, the Nissan Skyline runs the quarter mile in just 10.06. Well, that’s a record to account for.
With all these figures in mind and with the mind-blowing price, the rare Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo Z-Tune is even more expensive than a Lamborghini Aventador, which outputs 690 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque. You be the judge of that, is the Nissan Skyline worth the price?
