I still remember several months back when I first saw a super hydrophobic solution that absolutely blew my mind.

Now, it seems the car making industry is trying to finally incorporate the tech and Nissan is the company at it.

Developing a paint based on said hydrophobic and oleophobic substance, they coated half of Note with it and sent it out testing. The results are amazing even for me, who already knew about the technology. Nissan also released a video to show us exactly how much the new paint doesn’t like water and mud.

I think it was about time this became a possibility for car owners, and while I hardly think the hydrophobic paint will become an option on mass produced vehicles, I do hope it will be available at least as an aftermarket option. But once the technology becomes cheaper, it will make a lot of car owners happy and a lot of car wash owners mad.
