Opel released official details and photos for the 2014 Astra, a model which receives some improvements in the engine department. At the exterior, the new Astra is almost identical compared to the current model.
However, a new Active package gives the buyers possibility to fit their car with LED daytime running lights, the IntelliLink infotainment system, Piano Black trim and leather seats.
Under the hood, Opel will provide a new 1.6-liter CDTI engine capable to produce 136 horsepower and 320Nm of torque.
With these resources, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 10,3 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/h. Average fuel economy numbers are rated at 3,9 liters/100 km or 60,3mpg US with CO2 emissions of 104 g/km.
“Traditionally, we make innovations from premium vehicle classes available to a wider customer base and are dedicated to continuing to do so,” says Opel.
Other features offered on the 2014 Astra include Bluetooth and USB connectivity, GPS navigation and a seven-inch touchscreen display.
