Opel officially unveiled today the new Adam, a small retro model which packs several futuristic design features.
The front end stands out through a lowered grille with chrome accents and badge, LED daytime running lights, large alloy wheels and a new roof known as floating roof.
The new Opel Adam measures 3,7 meters long, 1,7 meters wide and comes with a wheelbase of 2,3 meters.
Under the bonnet sits a 1.2-liter engine capable to deliver 69 horsepower but also two 1.4-liter diesels with 86hp and 99hp coupled to a five-speed manual transmission.
“Opel is entering the fashion-led A-segment with a chic, small, urban car. The Opel ADAM combines bold, powerful design with potential for almost unlimited personalization, making each ADAM totally unique,” says the company.
The new German model is scheduled to go on sale somewhere next year, after its world premiere this fall at the Paris Motor Show. Pricing and availability details will be released closer to the debut date.
I saw the new Opel Astra the other day it’s a really good looinkg car. I wouldn’t mind getting the 1.4T Enjoy Plus or the 1.6T Sport. It’s great to see Opel having a real go with their new hatchback. Look out Golf 6!
