Peugeot 5008 SUV Announced ahead Paris Motor Show

The SUV segment is becoming bigger and bigger with a lot of carmakers to introduce their latest rides. Peugeot is also preparing the 5008 SUV for an official debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, but has already announced the model ahead the show.

The Peugeot 5008 adopts the carmaker`s overall design also seen on other models, only that this one is bigger and coming with a seven-seat arrangement.

The Peugeot 5008 is built on the Efficient Modular Platform 2 (EMP20), the same one underpinning other fresh models within the group.

This allows improved cargo capacity inside, with an overall of 1,060 liter. Other important highlights at the interior concerning space management, refer to seating arrangement with three matching and separate second row folding seats, adjustable in length and inclination third row folding seats, wide panoramic opening glass rood, 3D navigation, FOCAL Premium Hi-Fi system and so on.

Other features inside also refer to iCockpit digital dashboard with compact steering wheel, 8-inch touchscreen dashboard as well as a 12.3-inch resolution digital head-up display.

In terms of safety, the Peugeot 5008 is tweaked with the latest systems, such as Advanced Grip Control with updated Hill Assist Descent Control (HADC), Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Distance Alert, Active Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Diver attention warning, Speed sign recognition and speed suggestion, Smart Beams Assistance, Active blind spot monitoring, Adaptive cruise control with stop system, or the Park Assist with Visio Park, for a 260 degree vision.

In the engine department, there isn’t yet any word on the kind of powertrains the model will be using, but we are expecting fresh news at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
