The annual Festival of Speed at Goodwood sees a lot of new models and one-off machines presented to the public in an attempt to awe and sell a product.
And while there are plenty of weird concept cars that can and will appear at Goodwood, it seems that Peugeot has a special surprise for the audience.
Based on the Peugeot 208 GTI model, the car maker designed a hightech surfboard, using both the traditional wood and also carbon fiber to complete the concept. The surfboard has 4 carbon fiber fins at the back that are not only designed to look like a rear diffuser, but will also give the surfboard a “responsive, exhilarating and agile ride quality.”
Unfortunately, surfers won’t be able to get their hands on a Peugeot board, as this is a one-off project. The purpose behind this exercise is to show off Peugeot’s ‘coupe franche’ or clean cut at the upcoming Goodwood festival of Speed.
