Mazda has recently announced the arrival of the 2017 Mazda6 in the United Kingdom, the model coming with some engine upgrades and a plus in technology. The model will arrive in dealerships countrywide this autumn and will have a starting price of £19,795.
Most of the engines will remain the same as the 2016 Mazda6 model, but the carmaker will introduce two diesel and petrol engines.
We are looking here a 2.2-liter Skyactive-D diesel with two power configurations – 148 horsepower and 172 horsepower – as well as a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G petrol with 143 horsepower and 162 horsepower, respectively.
Most importantly, the diesel engines will come with new technologies which increase the cars` response on different situations and reduce the engine noise inside and under the hood.
According to the carmaker, the Transient Control technology improves the cars` throttle and reduces turbo lag, while the NSS (Natural Sound Smoother Technology) reduces the noise at low-speed acceleration and during the cars` starting point.
Another important technology that the Mazda6 is using is the G-Vectoring Control system (GVC) which controls the car`s torque in different situations. Also the system also improves the comfort of all passengers inside and driver, as well as the car`s handling, by monitoring the steering while cornering or driving on straight roads at low-revs, transferring thus more traction up front, visibly increasing the car`s maneuverability and stability.
