Most of you know about Pininfarina, but whenever you hear the name, you tend to think about extremely beautiful cars that also tend to cost a pretty penny.
Well, now the name Pininfarina is also associated with a remote controlled drone.
With a cost of €1.500, this is by far the cheapest product that Pininfarina worked on, but still it is not quite cheap compared to normal drones. Pininfarina joined teams with Italian company DeAgostini Publishing for this project, and the first drones will be sold in Italy before they hit international markets.
The Sky Rider, as it is called, weighs in at 1.53 kg, has improved aerodynamics thanks to the Pininfarina design, excellent maneuverability and comes equipped with a built in camera and GPS tracker. Most drones offers similar feats, but Pininfarina wants the Sky Rider to be a “premium drone”.
