Porsche has announced some revolutionary changes for its entire model lineup, the carmaker starting with the new twin-turbo engine fitted underneath the all-new Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera and Carrera S and carrying on with the new arrival of the 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman.
The later two are popping-up in our news again through a new teaser video which announces the upcoming of completely new models, which are based on the iconic 1956 718 Porsche.
The 718 Boxster and Cayman are due to arrive at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, but we would probably see both models for an official online, ahead the event.
The 718 Boxster and Cayman will come with the company`s latest highly efficient engines, like the flat-four turbocharged gasolines engine, with a choice of two configurations, like the 2.0-liter with 240 horsepower or the higher 2.5-liter with 300 horsepower. A more powerful mill will also join the club later on, with 370 horsepower, all squeezed from engine of a GTS version.
Back in 1957, the 718 RSK sports car was really successful, winning a lot of important races, during the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and that because of its iconic 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, developing 142 horsepower.
