It seems that Porsche manufacture couldn’t wait for the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and has already launched the all-new Porsche 718 Boxster, the lineup still comprising the S models as well.
We might indeed witness the “new beginnings” for the Boxster generation, that model that has been the solid base of the German engineering, leading the way to technology innovation.
From a visual standpoint, the Porsche 718 Boxster comes with an evolutionary design, with updated front and rear bumpers and floating lines that create an overall-appealing body style. The interior also gains high-end materials and the latest gadgets.
In terms of mechanics, the Porsche 718 Boxster brings the updated braking and suspension systems, re-calibrated electro-mechanical power steering system, along with the Porsche Active Suspension Management or the Sport Chrono package.
Under the hood, the standard Porsche 718 Boxster gains the 2.0-liter engine, with 300 horsepower, while the S version outputs 350 horsepower from a 2.5-liter mill. Both engines are also fitted with a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry, leading to a better fuel consumption, 40 mph in the Boxster and 38 in the S.
Prices are set at $56,600 / £41,739 / €67,963 for the Porsche 718 Boxster, while the S variant can be bought from $68,400 / £86,057 / €86,057.
