Porsche Launches Platinum Edition for 2017 Cayenne S & Cayenne S Diesel

The Porsche Cayenne has been quite a controversial SUV ever since its first unveiling on the market in 2002, managing however to gradually win the hearts of SUV lovers with a more and more evolutionary and aggressive design, the latest gadgetries inside and impressive powertrains under the hood.

In its latest generation, the all-new 2017 Porsche Cayenne is currently experiencing a massive worldwide success – even if sales have placed it second after the Macan SUV for the last couple of years – a fact that has determined Porsche manufacturer to launch a special edition for the Cayenne S and Cayenne S Diesel.

The limited-run refers to the Porsche Cayenne S & Cayenne S Diesel Platinum Editions, which add more styling features and plenty of technology. All these kinda make the Cayenne reborn from the ashes just like the Phoenix.

The exterior new tweaks refer to the optional Cararra White and Rhodium Silver exterior colours, bi-xenon headlights with dynamic technology, 21-inch Sport Edition alloy wheels with satin finish, and a few more. Both are based on the Volkswagen Gourp`s newest MLB Evo PL73 platform, which makes them more lightweight and make them more fuel-efficient.

Inside, the list of goodies also provide the interior with a fresh look. We are looking here at Alcantara trimmings, new door sill panels, along with heated front seats, or power steering “Plus” with front and rear park assist.

As expected, the carmaker has not added any improvements underneath the skin, the Cayenne S Platinum Edition coming with the same 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, with 309 kW, while the Cayenne S Diesel`s V8, still develops 283 kW. The fuel consumption is rather the same: 9.8 L / 100 km and 8.2 L / 100 km, respectively.
