Porsche showcased a new concept at the Paris Motor Show, namely the Panamera Sport Turismo, a model which is meant to give us an idea on the future models of the brand.
The prototype is motivated by a plug-in hybrid system which includes a 3.0-liter V6 unit with 329 horsepower and an electric motor providing another 94 horses.
With a total output of 410 horsepower, the model can reach a top speed of 130 km/h (electric mode) with a driving range of 30 kilometers.
The lithium-ion battery takes only 2,5 hours for a complete charge while the fuel consumption figures are rated at 3,5 liters/100km with CO2 emissions of 82 g/km.
Official dimensions for the new Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo are 4,950mm (length), 1,990mm (width) and 1,401mm (height). It remains to be seen when and under what form this concept will be transformed to a production-ready car.
According to Porsche, the hybrid powertrain fitted on this concept is based on the current parallel full hybrid system present in some models in the range.
