The Germans at Porsche decided to release a quite interesting video showing the design process of the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo concept.
Unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the German sports car startes as a clay model before Porsche built the actual model.
If the process is explained very well in the video below, we remind you what sits under the bonnet and motivates the prototype.
We talk about a plug-in hybrid powertrain known as e-hybrid, a system which includes both conventional and electric motors generating a total of 416 horsepower. With such resources, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in less than 6 seconds while a fully electric driving range of 18 miles is offered as well.
Even this is just a concept for now, Porsche says that the lithium-ion battery pack can be charged in only 2,5 hours, an impressive number cosidering the similar production models on the market.
With this been said, get a closer look at Porsche’s prototype birth down below.
