View

The 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show is opening its gates starting with September 12 and carmakers all over the world are making the final preparations to reveal their new cars, prototypes or concepts that will lead for future models.

Kia will be present at the German event with a new concept with a shooting-brake design, which is believed to become the new Cee`d generation.

During a recent interview, the South Korean carmaker stated that the new car would be an “extended hot hatch” with longer wheelbase than its usual hatchback and shorter than its compact estate.

“The concept presents a new body type for Kia. The extended hot hatch styling retains the athleticism of the current Pro Cee’d model, while combining its striking visual presence with a dash of real-world versatility. Reworked and reimagined for a new generation of driver, it puts forward a bold vision for a potential member of the next-generation Cee’d family”, Kia representative also declared.

And as we can depict from the teaser image, we will be dealing here with a futuristic approach, thanks to the shorter overhangs, no side mirrors, B pillars now part of the doors, raked roof and much wider wheel arches.

Inside, the company hinted at the idea of a high-tech cabin with plenty of new gizmos and luxurious materials all around. Full details are expected in about a week at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show!
