Range Rover Velar SUV – Leaked Images Emerge prior to Geneva

View

Land Rover is preparing some interesting models for the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and one of them will get plenty of attention from journalists worldwide – the new Velar SUV – recently popping-up online in the first images.

The leaked images were released by Diariomotor and are previewing the company`s new SUV ahead Geneva. It is extremely aggressive in looks, massive and according to reports, quite powerful, using the same Ingenium powertrains from Jaguar.

Speaking about performance, this gorgeous Range Rover Velar SUV will be using a plethora of petrol burners and diesels, using the Ingenium configuration from the Jaguar F-Pace. We thus expect a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel with 177 kW and 500 Nm of torque, as well as some V6s and V8s supercharged engines.

Visually, the model borrows the company`s new design language also seen on other high-end models, such as the Range Rover Sport or the Evoque, meaning an evolutionary design, highlighted by a lower profile on the glasshouse area, adding slightly raked D-pillar at the rear, which provides the SUV with a more aggressive look.

Taking visual highlights from the Rover Sport and Evoque, the new Velar will also stand on the same platform, meaning increased space and cargo capacity inside the cabin. As usual, the same plethora of high-tech gizmos will be found.

We expect full details to be unveiled next week in Geneva, starting the 7th of March. Meanwhile, enjoy the leaked images with the upcoming Range Rover Velar.
