Senner Tuning is an important and well-known German tuning company which, this time, picked the five-door hatchback version of the new Opel Astra. The tuning house opted to develop a complete tuning package for the German model, a kit which brings both performance and appearance improvements.
To begin with, the 1.4-liter turbo unit of the Astra hatchback received a new ECU unit along with a dual-pipe exhaust system and a high-performance sport air filter from BMC. With these upgrades, Senner’s Opel Astra develops 165 horses and 250 Nm of torque, an increase of 25 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque over the standard model.
On the other hand, the exterior appearance is improved by an aerodynamic package which includes a new set of 19-inch Alutec alloy wheels fitted with 235/35 R19 tires from Vredestein. Senner Tuning also opted for tinted windows and red brake calipers to contrast with the body color.
The front grille of the model is replaced by a matte black one from Steinmetz while other features include a new set of side skirts, a roof spoiler, new rear diffuser and a front lip apron. Senner Tuning priced the new package at €11,900, which is about $16,500 at the current exchange rates.
