Weird alliances in the world of technology just keep on happening but it’s no longer rare that we get to see stuff like this.
Pending a tradition started by Saab and Android technology in the creation of the PhoeniX Concept, Samsung teamed up with the French at Renault for something even better.
Named the Samsung SM7, this concept rides on the D platform which is a trait of the Nissan Maxima/Nissan Teana a product of the Nissan and Renault Alliance.
Seems like a lot of alliances are happening here and yet the Samsung SM7 Concept seems to have almost no true resemblance to any of the phones that wear its name, or the manufacturer that’s mostly involved.
I find to look just like a Renault Fluence to me, and the specifications of the underpinnings seem to please my assumption.
Two V6 engines are available, top end stuff for the french with one being a 2.5 liter unit with 182 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque and the other being a meatier 3.5 liter that pumps out 251 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of press and go.
What I find particularly interesting is that Samsung wants to make this happen as a production car, and that they’ve kept the interior a secret.
This could mean that geek prone materials could be lurking in every corner of the Samsung SM7.
