View

Shelby has been customizing and producing Mustang muscle cars for around 50 years, and to celebrate this special event, it has recently introduced a limited edition Mustang, in the shape of the 2017 Super Snake. The model can be admired at Barrett-Jackson auction.

Unfortunately for Shelby fans and customers, the model will be produced in a limited 500 units, with prices to start from $36,795 and going up to $69,995. For that kind of money, you also get a 36,000 mile or three-year power warranty.

The 2017 Shelby Super Snake Mustang was also officially presented by Shelby American CEO, Gary Patterson:
“We compared the groundbreaking 1967 and 2007 model Super Snakes to other cars of their era when setting the performance parameters for our anniversary model. The new Super Snake matches those cars` competitive advantages. The newest Super Snake is both extraordinarily fast and a thrill to drive.”

In terms of visuals, the all-new 2017 Shelby Super Snake Mustang comes with a much sportier look, highlighted by updated styling bits, such as custom side skirts, bonnet, new rear diffuser, vents and air intakes. The entire design is also complemented with the anniversary stripes, badges and new alloy wheels, the latter adding a more aggressive attitude.

Besides the standout design features, the 2017 Shelby Super Snake also comes fitted with updated suspension and brakes. In the engine department, the iconic muscle car comes with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, the same found on the Ford Mustang GT, packing a pure 670 horsepower, which can be fine-tuned to 750 horsepower. The power allows an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a whopping 3.5 seconds, while the quarter sprint indicates 10.9 seconds.
