Skoda decided to make a surprise for customers looking forward to get the new Octavia RS TDI, as they’ve announced new equipment.
The Czech sedan is now compatible with a six-speed DSG automatic gearbox paired to a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine. The total output is rated at 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7,6 seconds and a top speed of 228 km/h.
Being a diesel engine it means that you get pretty good fuel economy figures. The average consumption is rated at 4,9 liters/100 km with CO2 emissions at 129 g/km. Besides the new gearbox, Skoda added a four-wheel drive system as well as a sports suspension and progressive steering.
The multi-link suspension and the electronic differential lock work great together for a sportier feel. We’ll have to wait few more days in order to get more information such as availability and pricing for the revised Skoda Octavia RS TDI.
“In combination with all-wheel drive, the ŠKODA Octavia RS is the perfect car for everyday and leisure use, and a real all-rounder in virtually any driving situation,” says Skoda in the official statement.
