Skoda’s Octavia Green E Line is a fleet of 10 fully electric prototypes, vehicles produced few months ago. These days, the Czech manufacturer announced that the vehicles will be put at test around the city of MladĂ Boleslav.
It seems that Skoda wants to get more experience in this domain which means that we should expect a range of electric models bearing Skoda’s badge.
The first time we’ve seen the Octavia Green E Line was two years ago at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. As you expect, the electric model is based on the Combi variant of Octavia but uses an electric motor which develops 114 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque.
The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 12 seconds while the top speed is rated at 135 km/h. According to Skoda, the lithium-ion battery which fits the Czech model can offer a driving range of up to 150 kilometers.
It is true that the electric vehicle from Skoda is not offering the best performance but we should not forget that the company is currently developing new technologies following to benefit from an electric range of vehicles in the coming years.
