The Czech folks at Skoda released new information on the Octavia engine lineup.
The new Skoda Octavia, a model which reached its third-generation, was unveiled last month after several teasers and spy photos.

In Europe, the sedan comes with four petrol engines starting with an entry-level 1.2-liter TSI with 86hp and 160Nm of torque. Next up is a more powerful variant of the same unit producing 105hp and 175Nm of torque followed by a 1.4-liter with 140hp and 250Nm of torque.

The range-topping model is powered by a 1.8-liter TSI offering 180hp and 250Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel lineup starts with a 1.6-liter TDI offered in three flavors: 90hp, 105hp and 110hp. A more powerful 2.0-liter TDI producing 150hp and 320Nm of torque completes the range.

“The third generation of the ŠKODA Octavia uses a newly developed generation of modern petrol and diesel engines,” adds the carmaker.
