If you feel like the Porsche 911 GT2 RS sold out too fast and you can’t wait for the rumored special edition of the 911 GT3 RS, Sportec have got quite something for you.
There are a few Porsche 911 GT2 RSs available for sale from those speculators but rarely are you going to get anything like a Sportec SP 800 R.
Using some of the remaining Porsche 911 GT2 RS the Swiss tuner unleashed the frustration Switzerland imposes on the motorist.
The core of all the fun is the engine, which is still a 3.6 liter flat six with a turbochargers but you can forget the output.
No longer do you get the 620 horsepower of the base car had or even the 730 horsepower offered by the Ruf Rt 12 R but a crazy 800 ponies.
Thanks to some new hybrid turbocharger, a sport camshaft, a couple of sport intercoolers, new connecting rods, sport air filters, and an ECU-remap to make all of these come together, the Sportec SP 800 R is just crazy.
The power of the Sportec SP 800 R is enough to hit 62 from a standstill in just 3.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 232 mph.
Happily, apart from the engine mods, Sportec kept their hands to themselves in regards to the look of the car as they’ve barely touched it and lowered the suspension by one inch.
