View

After Koenigsegg One:1 failed to set a new lap record at the Ring, a new beast is getting ready to tackle the same Nurburgring track. This is the all-new and hardcore Mercedes-AMG GT R, now seen again wearing camouflage and undergoing some street tests.

Even if Mercedes-AMG used the Goodwood Festival of Speed as a good excuse to officially present the upcoming AMG GT R, the hot ride is still undergoing serious testing, and the present of the camouflage around the body indicates that there are still plenty of modifications to be added to improve the car`s aerodynamics. Not to mention that the latest reports state that the model will be released in a limited edition of 2,000 units worldwide.

The hardcore AMG GT R is believed to come with an extremely aggressive body styling, wrapping carbon fiber composites for improved aerodynamics and increase performance.

According to reports, the road-legal racer is set to wear the AMG Green Hell magno paint job, new front fascia with active elements, custom rear fascia with double center-mounted rear diffuser, extremely wide front and rear wings, as well as the 20-inch lightweight ten-spoke alloy wheels.

In terms of mechanics, the Mercedes-AMG GT R will feature a nine-way adjustable traction control system, adjustable coil-over suspension, rear-axle limited-slip differential, active rear-wheel steering and so on.

In terms of performance, the beast will come with a massive 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine, with 585 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque, hooked to a seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission, enough to deliver a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

Enjoy the spy video with Mercedes-AMG GT R and stay tuned for our latest news on the beast!
