SsangYong released photos and details on a new entry-level variant of the Korando crossover model in the UK.
We talk about the Korando SX, a model powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine able to deliver 147 horsepower and 360Nm of torque.
The turbo diesel unit is linked to a standard six-speed manual transmission. In terms of fuel economy, the South Korean model returns a combined consumption of 45,6mpg UK (6,2 liters/100km) and CO2 emissions of 157 g/km.
“The new SX is in direct response to feedback from our customers who said they wanted a 4×4 crossover for less than £20,000,” said SsangYong Motor UK.
Even the starting price of Korando SX is £18,795, the South Korean company packed the car with several features such as leather steering wheel, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, Hill Start Assist, parking sensors, and a six-speaker audio system.
SsangYong also claims that the new and cheaper variant of the Korando SUV comes with a 15% lower starting price compared to its competitors.
