Subaru revealed at the auto show in Sydney the Forester S-Edition, a model based on the Forester XT that should give us an idea about how the next-generation Forester will look like. Presenting this model in Australia isn’t very strange as the Forester is at the moment the best selling SUV in Australia. The Subaru Forester S-Edition benefits from the four-wheel drive system, Variable Torque Distribution but also a five-speed automatic transmission (including shift paddels).
Inside, some changes are also notices, the Forester S-Edition benefits from leather, Alcantara trim and aluminium pedals. At the exterior, the model was fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels but the real changes are visible under the bonnet.
The 2.5-liter boxer engine under the bonnet of the Subaru Forester is now able to develop 260 horsepower and 347 Nm of torque. Thus the engineers from Subaru managed to squeeze extra 32 horses and 27 Nm of torque for the Forester S-Edition.
