Suzuki officially announced that a special edition of the current Grand Vitara SUV will be available in the UK starting 2012. We talk about the Grand Vitara SZ-T, a better-equipped version of the Japanese SUV model which will be available in a limited series of 500 units.
Suzuki picked the five-door version of the model and applied several design tweaks such as a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels and a new front grille. The Japanese model also sports a tailgate mounted spare wheel, signal lamps incorporated into the side mirrors but also a pair of bonnet vents mounted on each side.
Inside, the customers benefit from cruise control, keyless entry system but also a new combination of seat fabric. Under the bonnet sits a 1.9-liter DDiS diesel unit offering 129 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. The combined fuel economy is rated at 6,8 liters/100 km (41,5mpg UK) and 179g/km of CO2 emissions.
According to the company, the new Suzuki Grand Vitara SZ-T special edition gets an OTR price tag of £22,315 while the orders are already opened for the British customers.
