The Indians from Tata confirmed for AutoCar that the Pixel concept earlier revealed at the Geneva Motor Show will certainly enter the series production most probably next year.
If Ratan Tata told nothing about the date when the new Tata Pixel will be released, we know that the main market is Europe. The tiny four-seater will retain some of the features found on this impressive concept but however the vertical doors and futuristic LED lights won’t be seen on the series version.
Under the hood we expect to see a 60-horsepower three-cylinder diesel that will deliver a fuel consumption of just 3,4 liters/100 km. The 1.2-liter unit will issue 89 g/km but this of course comes with a price, not too many horsepower as you’d wish.
According to the recent statements, the new Tata Pixel will be available in a four-door version too. In terms of size, the Indian model keeps the tiny dimensions measuring 3 meters long and having a weight of 750 kilograms.
