Tesla ‘Cybertruck’ Landed Underwater, Nobody Injured

This may be partly due to what seems to be Elon Musk’s overimagination of futuristic trucks with the Tesla Cybertruck. Recently, a Cybertruck fell into the water not far from Ventura Harbor, California, due to an accident with a jet ski. This is one case where some flaws in Musk’s audacious statements about the truck’s water resistance can be seen.

The Incident

At some point in the video, which must have been quite unexpected during the live stream, the Cybertruck was submerged in water, illustrating just how wrong Musk is when he said the Cybertruck can ‘float briefly and serve as a boat.’ Despite this, it seems that the owner was trying to start the jet ski at the time of the ordeal. Unfortunately, instead of passing the channel, the truck, probably thanks to inaccurate measures, went towards the docks or the harbor area.

Another witness, a fire battalion chief, said that the truck was already engulfed so that it disappeared under the water when the first responders arrived at the scene. On that note, it is fortunate that nobody was in the car during those scenes when the vehicle was submerged in the water. The driver was also able to escape before the truck went for an acquisition that it did not plan on purposely.

Salvaging the Situation

In another instance, to recover the Cybertruck, one had to dive to the water and attach a tow line. Through some good maneuvering places, it was pulled out of the water for the electrically operated car that had been submerged in the water. After it emerged from the waters, the water drained from all the holes, and the driver’s side window was open. This relatively unimpressive result left Musk’s idea of a water-crossing car in tatters.

Personal Take

It is quite natural for a person interested in innovation to get enticed by attending such grandiose goals and ideas from Musk. This makes one remember that intelligent planning and excellent strategies are achievable but must be given a reality check in practice. While it now seems like an exceptional vehicle to drive on land, it was not designed with the ability to sail through water. It immediately becomes evident that it is an exercise in going beyond what is reasonable or feasible.

End Note

This experience also helps to remind people about the words ‘there are no enchanted tools’. Despite the fact that Cybertruck is a marvel in the world of automobile manufacturing, its bone-chilling episode should serve as a lesson that some concepts should never be actualized. As for the truck, it is probable to assert that it was not going to have sea days anymore.
