We’ve recently talked about the new German sports car being caught while testing at the Nurburgring circuit. Well, after only few days, Mercedes officially unveils the new SLS AMG Black Series sports car, a model which will enter the market starting next year.
The new model is motivated by a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable to produce 622 horsepower and 634Nm of torque. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is possible in just 3,6 seconds, about 0,1 seconds quicker than the standard SLS AMG.
Thanks to several improved components, the new model is 70 kilograms lighter than the stock version which translates into a power-to-weight ratio of 5,49 lb/hp.
New or improved features such as carbon-ceramic brakes, improved ESP system, Race Start launch control, revised power steering and electronically controlled suspension are available as well.
Pricing and availability information on the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series should be released next year at one of the important auto shows which will open their gates during the year.
