The Germans from Porsche decided to take advantage of the “Night of Champions” event and present the 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, a track-only sports car which gets a revised styling and slightly more power under the hood.
To be more precise, the new model benefits from an upgraded 3.8-liter engine delivering 460 horsepower and linked to a six-speed transmission.
A novelty for the new 911 GT3 Cup is the shift paddles mounted behind the steering wheel. Exterior features of the new racer include new carbon fiber splitters, revised bumpers, a massive rear wing and also special wheels fitted with Michelin slick tires.
Inside, we find a new roll cage for increased protection, a revised seat, flat-bottom steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster.
“The new 911 GT3 Cup is much easier to drive at the limit. The car is excellently balanced,” says the company. According to Porsche, the new 911 GT3 Cup receives a starting price of €181,200.
