Toyota released pricing for the new Yaris Hybrid ahead of the Geneva Motor Show debut. The hybrid version of Toyota Yaris is now available for pre-order in the United Kingdom and gets a starting price of less than £15,000.
The Japanese company denied telling us the exact figures, therefore we have to wait for the Geneva debut to find the precise pricing.
Under the bonnet we find a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine together with an electric motor for a total output of 99 horsepower. The hybrid powertrain returns a fuel economy of 80,7mpg UK (around 3,5 liters/100 km) with CO2 emissions of just 79 g/km.
“It means Yaris Hybrid qualifies for free road tax (VED) in the UK, and is exempt from the London congestion charge. For company car drivers, the record low CO2 emissions fall well within the lowest Benefit In Kind (BIK) taxation band of 10%,” adds the company.
Toyota also prepared few new concepts for the Geneva Motor Show, a stage where new models in range such as GT 86 and FT-Bh will debut as well.
