Toyota decided to release few more photos with the 2012 Yaris hatchback, a model available in two body styles, the three-door and five-door liftback. The new Yaris hatchback has been revealed at the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago while the staring price spins around $14,000.
In terms of size, the North American Yaris gain in length and wheelbase dimension with a length of 153,5 inches and a wheelbase of 98,8 inches.
Under the bonnet, the American customers will get a 1.5-liter gasoline engine able to deliver 106 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. This unit comes with a five-speed manual transmission but also with a four-speed automatic gearbox.
Even we talk about a small model, Toyota claims that the luggage space is now bigger with a cargo volume of 433 liters for the three-door model and 441 liters for the five-door version.
The Japanese from Toyota offer the new Yaris with three trim levels, starting with the L and LE to the top of the range SE, available only for the five-door model.
In terms of pricing, the three-door Yaris L starts at $14,115 while the Yaris SE five-door with a four-speed automatic transmission at $17,200.
