The Japanese folks at Toyota decided to reveal the US-spec version of the new Land Cruiser, an SUV that will go on sale soon in the States. To begin with, it packs a powerful 5.7-liter V8 engine producing 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft (543 Nm) of torque as well as an eight-speed automatic transmission.
At the exterior, US buyers will get new front and rear bumpers, 18-inch alloy wheels with a new design, revised optical blocks and a tweaked front grille.
Inside, Toyota offers leather seats with heating and ventilation, four-zone climate control, a 9-inch touchscreen display part of the Entune infotainment system as well as keyless entry.
Technology is a must for these new cars, one interesting feature on the new Land Cruiser being the Qi wireless charger. With this, the Qi-enabled smartphones can be charged wirelessly.
Combined fuel economy figures are rated at 15 mpg US while safety is also a concern for Toyota, a plethora of systems being available. To be more precise, we talk about Frontal Collision Mitigation, Auto High Beams, Blind Spot Assist, Lane Departure Alert and much more.
