The Japanese based Toyota carmaker is currently working on the S-FR Racing Concept which will be officially unveiled at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Show, next January.
We are dealing here with a racing version of the S-FR Concept that will be displayed at the event just for show, the concept being a real inspiration for the company`s upcoming racing versions.
As opposed to the S-FR Concept presented at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show a couple of months back, the racing version looks more aggressive, thanks to the wide flared fenders, along with a beefier front and rear end.
Apart its aggressiveness, the S-FR racing concept is also longer than the S-FR version, measuring 4,100 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,735 mm high. The racer is also lighter, weighing just 980 kg.
We are not sure what powertrains will fit under the S-FR Racing Concept, but rumors have it that it will be equipped with the same engine lineup found on the upcoming S-FR Concept, meaning a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline, with 115 horsepower and 185 Nm of torque. A higher 1.5-liter naturally aspirated might also join the club, this one developing 130 horsepower and 148 Nm of torque.
