Toyota release official information on the Auris Touring Sports, a more spacious variant of the Japanese hatchback.
With an improved boot capacity of 1,658 liters (with rear seats folded) and 285mm in addition to the length, the new Auris Touring Sports wants to be a family car which still provides good performance.
Under the bonnet we find a 1.33-liter base engine, a more powerful 1.6-liter gasoline powerplant but also a frugal 1.4-liter diesel.
Moreover, a hybrid powertrain could be available as well. It will consists of an electric motor and a 1.8-liter VVT-i gasoline unit for a total output of 136hp and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 10,9 seconds.
“Auris Touring Sports offers dynamic design, best-in-segment functionality and large, flexible loadspace,” says the company in the press release.
