The all-new 2017 Volkswagen Golf was officially unveiled about three months ago, with the model already making its way on most of the countries across Europe. Recently, the model was already announced for the United Kingdom, coming available with lots of trims and special prices.
In UK, the 2017 Golf facelifted hatchback is offered in the S, SE, SE Nav, GT, R-Line, GTE, GTE Advance, e-Golf, GTD, GTD BlueLine, GT, GTI Performance as well as the R trim levels. On the other hand, the estate is available in the S, SE, SE Nav, GT, GTD, GTD BlueLine, Alltrack and R trims.
The cheapest variant is the S hatchbach trim with £18,665, while the most expensive one is the Golf R Estate, which sets you back at £34,958. Full prices with both the hatchback and the estate variants are detailed in the media gallery below.
Common features for all trims consist of updated front and rear bumpers, revised headlights with halogen and LED DRLs, new front wings, full LED taillights, a wide choice of exterior colours, trim panels and plenty of high-end materials and gadgetries inside.
High-end variants will also come with a new safety package, consisting of lots of features – City Emergency Braking with new Pedestrian Monitoring, Traffic Jam Assist with semi-automated driving at speed up to 30 km/h, as well as Emergency Assist.
In the engine department, besides the previous engine lineup, the company has also added some new additions, like the all-new 1.5-liter TSI Evo turbocharged petrol burner, with 148 horsepower, followed by a BlueMotion edition with 128 horsepower and a top of the line Golf R with 310 horsepower, among other options.
